On Saturday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Cairns for Townsville.

In the evening, at 1300SMILES Stadium, Townsville, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the National Rugby League match between the North Queensland Cowboys and the New Zealand Warriors.
