On Sunday, in the morning, at Abell Point Marina, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey boarded the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Vessel ‘Damian Leeding’, where the vice-regal couple: received a briefing on Cyclone Debbie recovery efforts from QPS and Whitsunday Regional Council representatives, toured cyclone-affected Whitsunday Islands, and disembarked at Daydream Island to meet staff and inspect cyclone recovery efforts, before returning in the afternoon to Abell Point Marina, Airlie Beach.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Airlie Beach for Mackay.
