On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for Regional Government House operations in Cairns and Weipa.

In the afternoon, at the Cairns Regional Council Chambers, Cairns, His Excellency received a briefing from Council representatives.

Following, at Cairns, His Excellency toured the Cairns Performing Arts Centre.

In the evening, at the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino, Cairns, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception in support of the Cairns community, and the Governor addressed guests.
