On Thursday, in the morning, at 1 William Street, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency received the Deputy Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Michael Ries, for the presentation of six Bills for Assent.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner recognition of stakeholders supporting drought affected Queenslanders, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: the Honourable Mark Furner MP; the Honourable Justice David Thomas and Mrs Jane Thomas; Mrs Georgie Somerset AM and Mr Robert Somerset; Dr Neil Bartels OAM and Mrs Annette Bartels; Mr Daniel O'Connor OAM; Dr Ian Law and Ms Amber Stewart; Mrs Tracey Martin and Mr Glen Rea, and Air Commodore Mark Gower AM LVO OAM (Mil) and Mrs Julie Gower.
