On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Brisbane for an official visit to the Gold Coast.

Following, at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation Headquarters, Ashmore, the Governor received a briefing on the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, met staff and toured operations.

In the afternoon, the Governor toured Carrara Stadium, undertook a Gold Coast Light Rail journey from Southport Station to Griffith University Station, and then toured the Commonwealth Games Village.

Following, the Governor visited and met staff at Yatala Pies before returning to Brisbane.
