On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.  

In the evening, at the residence of the Consul-General of Japan, Hamilton, Her Excellency attended a reception in celebration of the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, and the Governor addressed guests.
