On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Queensland for an official visit to Sydney, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes assumed duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the evening, at Government House, Sydney, the Governor attended a dinner, hosted by His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor of New South Wales and Mrs Linda Hurley.
