On Wednesday, in the morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM greeted students from TAFE Queensland AMEP Class Mt Gravatt visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the evening at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of the Brisbane Festival, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Ms Anna Reynolds; the Honourable Justice Thomas Bradley and Dr Matthew Yoong; Mr Tim Fairfax AC and Mrs Gina Fairfax AC; Ms Louise Bezzina; Mr Charlie Cush; Mr Ian George and Mrs Cass George; Mrs Emma Hunt and Mr Scott Harding; Dr Jodie Siganto and Mr Will Siganto; Ms Courtney Talbot and Dr Clinton De Bruyn; Ms Carolyn Vincent; Mr Graeme Wikman and Ms Liz Pidgeon; Ms Yolande Yorke and Dr Ingrid Tall.
