On Tuesday, in the morning, at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Cairns Base, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received a briefing on RFDS operations and then departed Cairns for Aurukun.

Following, in Aurukun, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey toured the RFDS Wellbeing Centre and Clinic and attended lunch with community representatives.

In the afternoon, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey toured the RFDS Personal Helpers and Mentors Service and the Shade Place for Men, and then returned to Cairns.

Also in the morning, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty as Acting Governor, and the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC commenced duty as Acting Governor.
