On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received the Ambassador of Switzerland, Her Excellency Mrs Caroline Bichet-Anthamatten and the Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Queensland, Mr Daniel Gschwind.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of the Probus Club of Stafford visiting for a guided tour of the House and Gardens.

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Dinner in support of Queensland Arts Philanthropists and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Mr Timothy Fairfax AC and Mrs Gina Fairfax AC; Professor Ian Frazer AC and Mrs Caroline Frazer; Mr Philip Bacon AO; Mr Chris Saines CNZM and Mrs Amanda Saines; Emeritus Professor David Siddle and Emeritus Professor Christa Critchley; Ms Alison Smith and The Honourable Paul Lucas; Dr Susan Urquhart and Dr Philip Aitken and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
