On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Acting Clerk of the Parliament, Ms Bernice Watson, for the presentation of three Bills for Assent: a Bill for an Act to amend the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 for particular purposes; a Bill for an Act to amend the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, the Appeal Costs Fund Act 1973, the Attorney-General Act 1999, the Civil Liability Act 2003, the Civil Proceedings Act 2011, the Cremations Act 2003, the Criminal Code, the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 1978, the District Court of Queensland Act 1967, the Electoral Act 1992, the Funeral Benefit Business Act 1982, the Human Rights Act 2019, the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991, the Justices Regulation 2014, the Legal Profession Act 2007, the Legal Profession Regulation 2017, the Limitation of Actions Act 1974, the Magistrates Act 1991, the Magistrates Courts Act 1921, the Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994, the Oaths Act 1867, the Oaths Regulation 2022, the Ombudsman Act 2001, the Penalties and Sentences Act 1992, the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002, the Public Guardian Act 2014, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009, the Referendums Act 1997, the Statutory Instruments Act 1992, the Supreme Court of Queensland Act 1991, the Trust Accounts Act 1973, the Uniform Civil Procedure (Fees) Regulation 2019, the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009, the Youth Justice Act 1992 and the legislation mentioned in schedule 1 for particular purposes, and to repeal the Court Funds Act 1973; and a Bill for an Act to amend the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act 2009, the Water Act 2000, the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008 and the legislation mentioned in schedule 1 for particular purposes.
Following, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of St Stephen’s Cathedral Guides and Welcomers Group visiting for a guided tour of the house and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a Dinner in honour of Queenslanders recognised in the King’s Birthday 2023 Honours List and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Ms Cheryl Vardon AO and Mr Michael Dean; Professor Peter Martin AM APM and Mrs Kristine Martin; Ms Christine Gee AM and Miss Alexia Gee; Lieutenant Colonel Shamus Armstrong CSC and Mrs Rhiannon Armstrong; Mrs Bernadette Ditchfield PSM and Mr Paul Ditchfield; Superintendent Anne Vogler APM and Mrs Karyn Foxover; Ms Amy Dawes OAM and Mr Ron Wason; Mr Cody Schaeffer OAM and Ms Nat Alise; Ms Fiona Stager OAM and Ms Verdi Guy; Ms Kerri Neuendorf; and Mr Darren Yeap.
