On Wednesday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the opening of the 57th Parliament of Queensland, where the Governor received the Royal Salute from the Tri-Service Honour Guard and a 19-gun salute; reviewed the Tri-Service Honour Guard of Honour, the Australian Army Band Brisbane and the Queensland Police Service Mounted Unit; and then delivered the Governor’s Speech for the opening of the first session of the 57th Parliament.
