On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Mackay for Charters Towers.
Following, at the Charters Towers Regional Administration Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Charters Towers Regional Council representatives.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey undertook a driving tour of Charters Towers.
Following, at the Charters Towers School of Distance Education, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met staff and toured operations, and His Excellency made an on-air address to students.
In the afternoon, at the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Station, Charters Towers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met and received a briefing from staff and toured operations, and then toured the Charters Towers QAS Museum.
Following, at 25 Anne Street, Charters Towers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community leaders luncheon hosted by Charters Towers Regional Council, where His Excellency addressed guests.
Following, at Blackheath & Thornburgh College, Charters Towers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey toured classrooms and attended a Junior School assembly where His Excellency addressed guests.
Following, at the Dalrymple Villa Aged Care Facility, Charters Towers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met residents and staff.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Charters Towers for Mackay.
