On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Townsville. 

In the afternoon, at the Ville Resort - Casino, Townsville, His Excellency hosted North Queensland Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2020 Australia Day Honours List, the March 2020 Bravery Announcement and the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours List: Constable Matthew Woodham BM, Mr Ronald Sullivan OAM, Mr Steven Barber AFSM, Ms Nicole Bradley ESM, Professor Nicholas Nakata AM, Mr William Mitchell OAM, Mr Barry Lansdown, Mr Mervyn Bailey OAM, Mr William Henderson OAM, Emeritus Professor Rhondda Jones AM, Lieutenant Colonel Judd Finger CSC, Squadron Leader Duncan Flemington CSC, and Mr Bruce Gibson-Wilde OAM. 

In the evening, His Excellency returned to Government House following official travel to Townsville.
