On Thursday, in the morning, at the Australian Embassy, Paris, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met and received a briefing from Mr George Mina, Australian Ambassador to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Embassy, Paris.
In the afternoon, at the Australian Embassy, Paris, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey were hosted for lunch by His Excellency Mr Stephen Brady AO, CVO, Australian Ambassador to France, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and Monaco. The Governor also conveyed to the Ambassador letters written by His Excellency and the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, addressed to His Excellency François Hollande, President of the Republic of France, expressing sympathies following the recent attack in Nice.
Following, at Musée du quai Branly, Paris, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey toured operations and received a briefing on the museum’s collection supporting links with Queensland artists and institutions.
In the afternoon, at Hotel Raphael, Paris, the Governor met and received a briefing from Mrs Laurence Broseta, Head of Transport in France, Transdev.
