In the morning, at King George Square, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the National Day of Commemoration of Operation SLIPPER Brisbane welcome home parade, and then, at South Bank, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a service to recognise and commemorate the contribution and sacrifice of Australian troops who served in Afghanistan and the Middle East, where the Governor laid a wreath.

In the evening, at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club, Commander Dominic Katter RANR, representing the Governor, attended the Naval Association of Australia, Queensland Section, State Conference Dinner.
