On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for Trade, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in recognition of outstanding Queensland contributors who support the community during natural disasters, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: the Honourable Craig Crawford MP and Mrs Rosalie Crawford; Major General Stuart Smith AO DSC (Retd) and Mrs Karen Smith; Mr Mark O’Brien AM and Ms Kim Muldoon; Mrs Juliette Wright OAM and Mr Glen Wright; Lieutenant Colonel David Godkin and Lieutenant Colonel Sandra Godkin; Mrs Christine King and Mr Roy King; Mr Garry Page and Mrs Nicky Page; Mr Kevin Mercer and Mrs Geraldine Mercer; Mr Craig Barke and Mrs Jane Barke; Air Commodore Mark Gower AM LVO OAM (Mil); and Mrs Kate Hastings.
