On Friday, in the morning, at ANZAC Square, Brisbane City, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM attended the Queensland Schools' ANZAC Commemoration Service and provided remarks and laid the first wreath.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received Ambassador of Latvia, His Excellency Mr Margers Krams and Mrs Sandra Krama, and Honorary Consul for Latvia in Queensland, Mr Juris ‘George’ Meija.

In the evening, at ANZAC Square, Brisbane City, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Centaur Memorial Fund for Nurses Candlelight Vigil and laid the first wreath, and the Governor provided remarks.
