On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Mackay for Moranbah.
Following, at Isaac Regional Council Chambers, Moranbah, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.
Following, at the Moranbah Reservoir, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from staff and toured operations and associated works.
Following, at the Resource Recovery Centre, Moranbah, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from staff and toured operations.
In the afternoon, at the Moranbah Community Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community leaders luncheon hosted by Isaac Regional Council, where His Excellency addressed guests.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Moranbah for Clermont.
In the afternoon, at Clermont State High School, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey toured classrooms and attended a special assembly where His Excellency addressed guests.
Following, at the Monash Lodge, Clermont, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met residents and staff.
Following, at the Clermont Historical Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community leaders afternoon tea hosted by Isaac Regional Council, where His Excellency addressed guests.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Clermont for Mackay.
In the evening, in Mackay, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception in support of personnel who assisted with the implementation of Regional Government House operations in Mackay.
Earlier in the morning, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes assumed duty as Deputy Governor to facilitate the signing of messages for bills in accordance with the Queensland Constitution, and then ceased duty as Deputy Governor.
