On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Townsville.

Following, at Kirwan, His Excellency visited Kirwan State High School, and the Governor addressed students and guests.

Following, at Garbutt, His Excellency toured the Townsville Local Disaster Coordination Centre, and met staff, volunteers and crews.

Following, at Townsville, His Excellency visited the Community Recovery Hub, and met recovery officers, staff, service providers and community members.

In the afternoon, at Annandale, His Excellency visited the Oonoonba State School campus at William Ross State High School.

Following, His Excellency returned to Government House following official travel to Townsville.
