On Wednesday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received, via videoconference, the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman William Russell; British Consul-General for Queensland and the Northern Territory, Ms Joanne Freeman; and Agent-General for Queensland in the UK and Trade and Investment Commissioner for Europe, Ms Linda Apelt.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in recognition of Outstanding Queensland Contributors, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: The Honourable Justice Elizabeth Wilson and Mr David Smith; Ms Louise Bezzina and Mr John Gass; Mr Trent Dalton and Ms Fiona Franzmann; Mrs Rachel Downie and Mrs Amanda Downie; Mr David Williams and Mrs Holly Williams, and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
