On Wednesday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted overnight guests, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd), Governor of New South Wales, and Mrs Linda Hurley.

In the evening, at Suncorp Stadium, the Governor, accompanied by the Governor and Mrs Hurley, attended the 2016 Holden State of Origin “Game II”.
