On Wednesday, in the morning, at Coopers Plains, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM visited Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, and officially opened Ward 5A, unveiled a plaque and addressed guests.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of Mayors from Queensland regions affected by the 2022 floods, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Brisbane Councillor Adrian Schrinner and Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner, The Honourable Councillor Lawrence Springborg AM and Mrs Linda Springborg, Major General Jake Ellwood DSC AM CSC, Councillor Greg Christensen and Mrs Denise Christensen, Councillor Brett Otto and Mrs Ros Otto, Councillor Glen Hartwig and Ms Talitha Passey, Councillor Vic Pennisi and Mrs Sharon Pennisi, Mr Michael Walsh PSM and Mrs Sabrina Walsh, Mr Gavin Kelly, Mrs Cynthia Milligan and Mrs Kristie Welsh.
