On Thursday, in the morning, at 1 William Street, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in support of outstanding Queensland contributors. Guests included: Dr Christian Rowan MP and Mrs Jane Rowan; The Honourable Margaret Wilson QC; Dr Xu Jie and Ms Cao Ailan; Mr James Bell QC and Mrs Mandy Bell; Mr Mick Gooda; Mr Martin Kriewaldt and Mrs Andrea Kriewaldt; Captain Kasper Kuiper RON; Dr Richard Shorrock-Browne and Mrs Janelle Shorrock-Browne; Mr Andrew Wellington and Mrs Louise Wellington; Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings; Acting Inspector Donna Stewart; and Lieutenant Nicholas Robinson.
