On Monday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for official travel to Rockhampton, Woorabinda and Baralaba.
Following, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Rockhampton Regional Council representatives.
Following, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited Rockhampton Hospital and received a briefing on operations and met with staff and patients.
In the afternoon, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received, over a working lunch, Rockhampton Regional Council, Mayor, Cr Tony Williams; Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, Chair, Mr Paul Bell; Chief Executive, Mr Steve Williamson; Executive Director, Ms Kerrie-Anne Frakes; and CQ University, Deputy President, Professor Fiona Coulson.
Following, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited Regional Medical Pathway and received a briefing on operations and meet with staff and students.
Following, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited North Rockhampton Nursing Care, and met with residents and staff.
Following, at Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited BUSHkids Rockhampton, and the Governor addressed residents and staff.
In the evening, at Headrick’s Lane, Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a reception in support of the Rockhampton community, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Vice-Chancellor’s Residence at Central Queensland University, Rockhampton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a dinner hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nick Klomp.
