On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.  

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie. The Governor granted Royal Assent to two Bills: Body Corporate and Community Management and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023 and Local Government (Councillor Conduct) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of the Probus Club of Redcliffe who visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of Regional Mayors and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Councillor Peter Scott and Mrs Sayah Scott; Councillor Stuart Mackenzie OAM; Councillor Greg Williamson and Mrs Annette Williamson; Councillor Andrew Martin; Councillor Gavin Baskett; Councillor Frank Beveridge and Mrs Sharon Beveridge; Councillor Geoff McDonald and Mrs Lisa McDonald; Mr Joshua Hannan; Ms Emily Carrigan; Major General Jake Ellwood DSC AM CSC (Retd); Ms Sarah Vogler; Mr Angus Sutherland; Ms Kerri Neuendorf; and Mr Scott Allen.
