In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC commenced duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and the Honourable Justice John Muir commenced duty as Acting Governor.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a lunch for Mr George Chapman AO and Mrs Margo Chapman.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception for delegates of the 2014 Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (RASC) Conference, in the presence of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.

Following, at the Queensland Club, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner hosted by Chairman of the RASC, The Right Honourable Lord Vestey DL, in the presence of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.
