On Thursday, from 9am until 2pm, at Government House, members of the public signed messages of condolence and laid floral tributes.

In the morning, at Parliament House Canberra, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended a pre-reception function prior to attending the National Memorial Service for Her Majesty The Queen.

Following, at Government House, the Office of the Governor hosted a live broadcast of the National Memorial Service honouring the life of Queen Elizabeth II for state leaders, dignitaries and members of the public.

In the afternoon, at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a function for Vice-Regal representatives of Australia following the National Memorial Service for Her Majesty The Queen.
