On Tuesday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Brisbane for Official Travel to Mackay Regional Council.

In the afternoon, at Council Chambers, Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Mackay Regional Council representatives.

Following, at Mackay West State School, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the school, read a book and Her Excellency provided remarks at a school assembly.

Following, at Mackay Base Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the hospital and met with staff.

Following, at Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel, Her Excellency was interviewed, via telephone, by ABC Tropical North Chief of Staff and Breakfast Producer, Ms Tegan Philpott.

Following, at Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a civic reception hosted by Mackay Regional Council, and Her Excellency addressed guests.

In the evening, at The Dispensary, Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for a working dinner.
