On Friday, in the morning, at the State Library of Queensland, South Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the Queensland Library Foundation’s annual supporter’s morning tea, and the Governor addressed guests. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Chief Executive Officer, Trade and Investment Queensland, Mr Justin McGowan and Executive Director of Strategic Engagement and Communication, Trade and Investment Queensland, Ms Maria Karatzis. 

Following, at Brisbane Grammar School, Spring Hill, Her Excellency officially opened the School’s STEAM Precinct, and the Governor addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.  

In the evening, at Brisbane Customs House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Australian Institute of Architects Queensland 2024 President’s Honours Dinner and the Governor addressed guests.
