On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to the Gold Coast.

Later, at the 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation Headquarters, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey, welcomed by the Deputy Director-General, Office of Commonwealth Games Delivery, Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Ms Cynthia Gillespie; Chairman, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation, Mr Nigel Chamier OAM; and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mark Peters; received a briefing and attended morning tea with senior staff before touring headquarters facilities.

Following, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey proceeded to the Commonwealth Games village site for a briefing and viewing of construction progress, before departing the Gold Coast to return to Brisbane.
