On Wednesday, in the morning, at Sarina Sporting and Services Club, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended a community breakfast hosted by Mackay Regional Council, and addressed guests.

Following, at Sarina Museum, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the museum and met with staff and volunteers.

Following, at Sarina Sugar Shed, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff.

Following, at Sarina Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.

Following, at Iona West Men’s Shed, West Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and greeted members.  

Following, at Mackay Women’s Centre (Domestic Violence Resource Centre), West Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the facility and met with staff.

In the afternoon, at Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, West Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Mackay Regional Council hosted lunch, and Her Excellency addressed guests. At the conclusion of the visit, Her Excellency was interviewed by Ms Jade Richards from Channel 7.  

Following, at Mackay North State High School, North Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo watched the school’s String Orchestra and Senior Concert Band perform, and Her Excellency provided remarks at a school assembly.

Following, at Mackay Bulk Sugar Terminal, Mackay, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned to Government House from Official Travel to Mackay Regional Council.
