In the morning, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal 2015 breakfast, where the Governor delivered an address and officially opened the appeal for Queensland.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Arts, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Deputy Premier and Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Local Government, Planning and Trade, the Honourable Jackie Trad MP, Members of the Queensland Executive Council, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland, the Honourable Peter Wellington MP, other members of the 55th Queensland Parliament, Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin, and guests of the Speaker, for the formal presentation of the Speaker to the Governor.
Following, at Government House, the Governor received the Director-General, Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), Mr Dave Stewart, and Chief Operating Officer, DPC, Mr Pat Vidgen.
In the evening, at the Tattersall’s Club, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the National Council of Women of Queensland President’s Dinner, where the Governor addressed guests.
