On Tuesday, in the morning, at Little Larder, Stanthorpe, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM met with local businesses.
Following, at Southern Downs Regional Council Chambers, Stanthorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Council representatives.
Following, at Eastern Colour, Applethorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the property.
Following, at Rizzato Apple Farm, Pozieres, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the property.
Following, at Heritage Wines, Cottonvale, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received, Mayor, Southern Downs Regional Council, Cr Vic Pennisi and CEO, Southern Downs Regional Council, Mr Dave Burges for a working lunch.
In the afternoon, at Stanthorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited St Joseph’s Stanthorpe and read a book to students and, the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at the SES Industrial Estate, Stanthorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Southern Downs Regional Council hosted community afternoon tea for emergency services, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Australian Vinegar Factory, Stanthorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the official opening of the stage two building and toured the facility, where the Governor addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.
Following, at Queensland College of Wine Tourism, Stanthorpe, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and participated in a Wine tasting.
In the evening, at Queensland College of Wine Tourism, Stanthorpe, hosted a dinner in support of the community of the Southern Downs Region, and the Governor addressed guests that included; Cr Vic Pennisi and Mrs Sharon Pennisi; Mr Martin Cooper; Mr Graham Parker and Mrs Donna Parker; Mrs Corina Graham and Ms Storne Leach; Ms Frances Hodgson and Mr Martin Hodgson; Mr Mike Horan AM; Mrs Kate Hastings; Ms Liana Pennisi; Mrs Louisa Beale, and Mr Andrew Boyd.
