On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM hosted Ceremony A of the 2022 Australian Commonwealth Games Team and presented the Australian Sports Medal to the team: Ms Sarah Amorim; Ms Minna Atherton; Mr Grayson Bell; Ms Helen Boardman; Ms Serena Bonnell; Ms Emily Boyd; Mr Blake Cochrane; Mr Damien Delgado; Mr Peter Doherty; Mr Jake Fehlberg; Mr Bowen Gough; Mr Brenden Hall; Mr Barry Lester; Mr Matthew Levy; Ms Chloe Lindsay; Mr William Martin; Ms Emily Kate Meaney; Mr Joel Mundie; Mr Tom Nowakowski; Ms Lakeisha Patterson; Ms Alex Perkins; Mr Jacob Templeton; Mr Harrison Vig.  

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

In the afternoon, Her Excellency hosted Ceremony B of the 2022 Australian Commonwealth Games Team and presented the Australian Sports Medal to the team: Ms Naa Anang; Ms Kate Beerworth; Ms Ella Connolly; Ms Felicity Cradick; Ms Taneille Crase; Mr Jake Doran; Mr Shawn Flegler; Ms Taryn Gollshewsky; Ms Ebony Gorincu; Mr Gerrard Gosens; Ms Michelle Jenneke; Mr Lachlan Johnston; Ms Cara Koenen; Ms Stefanie Lalic; Ms Kerry Leech; Ms Stacey Marinkovich; Ms Bree Masters; Mr Billy McAllister; Ms Bonnie McRae; Ms Alison Mosely; Ms Shara Romer; Ms Lisa Sams; Mr Tannath Scott; Mr Leigh Smith; Mr Nick Such; Ms Jessica Turnbull; Ms Kate Watson; Ms Steph Wood; Mr Miles Wydall. 

In the evening, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency attended the annual dinner and presentation of the Queensland Sport Awards Hall of Fame and the Governor addressed guests.
