On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Mrs Kaye de Jersey, departed Government House for an official visit to the Mackay region, North Queensland.

Following, in Mackay, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey, accompanied by Mayor, Mackay Regional Council (MRC), Cr. Deirdre Comerford, visited the Artspace Mackay regional art gallery, and then departed Mackay for Sarina, to attend the opening of the Mackay Regional Council Sarina Water Recycling Facility.

In the afternoon, at the MRC Chambers, His Excellency the Administrator met the Mayor of Mackay, Cr. Deirdre Comerford, MRC Councillors and staff, and then with Mrs de Jersey departed Mackay to return to Brisbane.
