On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, Brisbane, the Honourable Justice Walter Sofronoff, Acting Governor, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received the British High Commissioner to Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Vicki Treadell CMG, MVO and British Consul General for Queensland and the Northern Territory, Ms Joanne Freeman.

In the evening, at Parliament House, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the Queensland Parliament Bushfire Appeal Reception.

Following, at QPAC, South Brisbane, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended Opera Queensland's opening night performance of 'Orpheus and Eurydice.'
