In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Brisbane, Dr Zhao Yongchen, accompanied by Vice-Consul, Ms Peng Pai.

In the evening, the Governor was invested as Chief Scout, by Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch, Mrs Kirsty Brown OAM. Following, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey, hosted the conferral of Adult Recognition and Youth Awards, Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch.
