On Friday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for official travel to Cairns.

Following, in the afternoon, at Cairns Regional Council Chambers, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Councillors and attended a welcome lunch.

Following, in the afternoon, at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the facilities and met with staff.

Following, in the afternoon, at Spinal Life Healthy Living Facility, Cairns, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facilities and met with guests.

In the evening, at The Cairns Court House Gallery, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Flying Arts Alliance Paint the Town Exhibition Launch, where the Governor provided remarks and presented a certificate of patronage.
