On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of the Mt Gravatt Retirement Community visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in recognition of outstanding Queensland contributors, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: The Honourable Justice Hugh Fraser; Dr Denver Beanland and Mrs Lee Beanland; Mr Ian Walker and Mrs Heather Walker; Dr Dimity Dornan AO and Mr Peter Dornan AM; Professor Susan Street AO and Mr Tom Beesley; Mr James Sourris AM and Ms Marica Sourris; Professor Peter Høj and Professor Mandy Thomas; Ms Bronwyn Morris and Mr Peter Burrows; Mrs Kay Bryan; Mr Bill McDonald and Mrs Julianne McDonald; and Air Commodore Mark Gower AM OAM (Mil) and Mrs Julie Gower.
