On Saturday, in the morning, at Sugar Wharf, Port Douglas, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM visited the Carnivale ‘Go Troppo Art Exhibition’ as part of the 30th annual Port Douglas Carnivale.
Following, at Ozcare Port Douglas Aged Care Facility, Craiglie, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the facility, met with staff and residents and attended a performance by Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Following, at ANZAC Square, Brisbane City, Her Excellency was represented by Flight Lieutenant Adam Lo OAM at the annual United Nations Peacekeepers Ceremony and Peoples March, and Flight Lieutenant Lo read a message and laid the first wreath.
Following, at Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a ‘Kites Queensland’ event as part of the 30th annual Port Douglas Carnivale.
Following, at Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.
In the evening, at Rex Smeal Park, Port Douglas, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended Queensland Symphony Orchestra's performance 'Symphony Under the Stars' as part of the 30th annual Port Douglas Carnivale, and the Governor addressed guests.
