In the morning, at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the White Ribbon Day Breakfast.
Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP; First Clerk Assistant (Committees), Ms Bernice Watson and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin for the presentation of two Appropriation Bills for Assent: a Bill for an Act authorising the Treasurer to pay amounts from the consolidated fund for particular departments for the financial year starting 1 July 2021 and a Bill for an Act authorising the Treasurer to pay an amount from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 2021.
Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP; First Clerk Assistant (Committees), Ms Bernice Watson and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin for the presentation of the Address of Condolence on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and Congratulations upon the accession of King Charles III.
Following, at Government House, members of the British Consulate-General visited for a guided tour of the House and Gardens.
Following, at the Royal Queensland Golf Club, Eagle Farm, Her Excellency attended the 2022 Fortinet Australian PGA Championship. During the visit, Her Excellency was interviewed, by Australian Olympic Committee Digital Engagement Coordinator, Mr Jeff Dickinson-Smith.
In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted an afternoon reception in support of The Boys’ Brigade and The Girls’ Brigade Queensland’s Queen’s Badges Awards 2022, and the Governor addressed guests.
In the evening, at Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the official opening of ‘Air’, and the Governor addressed guests.
