In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Australia, His Excellency Dr Damir Kusen.

Following, at Government House, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Canberra, and the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Timothy Carmody commenced duty as Acting Governor.

In the evening, at Government House Canberra, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner in honour of the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, hosted by Their Excellencies the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove.
