On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony where His Excellency presented Ms Cecily Pearson with a Medal of the Order of Australia announced on Australia Day 2017, and then addressed guests.

In the evening, at the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, His Excellency attended the performance of ‘Academy of St Martin in the Fields led by Joshua Bell’.

In the evening, His Excellency ceased duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and resumed duty as Governor of Queensland, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.
