On Tuesday, in the morning, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Australia Day Awards Ceremony where the Governor presented the Citizen of the Year Award to Mr Robert Griffiths.

Following, at Jezzine House, Jezzine Barracks, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey were received by Commander, 3rd Brigade, Australian Army, Brigadier Chris Field CSC and Ms Sarah Kendall.

 Following, at Jezzine Barracks, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, attended the Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony and addressed guests, before returning, in the afternoon, to Brisbane.
