On Saturday, in the morning, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Townsville City Council Australia Day Awards Ceremony, and the Governor presented the Citizen of the Year award.

Following, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony, and the Governor received the Royal Salute, and addressed guests.

Following, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Townsville City Council Citizenship Ceremony, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey returned to Government House following official travel to Townsville.
