On Sunday, in the morning, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony, where the Governor received the Royal Salute, reviewed the Royal Guard of Honour and the Australian Army Band, and addressed guests.

Following, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Townsville City Council presentation of Australia Day Award Recipients and Citizenship Ceremony, before attending the Australia Day Official Party luncheon at Jezzine House.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo returned from Official Travel to Townsville City Council and Her Excellency attended the India-Australia Day Celebrations at SunPAC, Sunnybank, where she addressed guests.
