On Sunday, in the morning, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Childers, Wide Bay-Burnett Region.

Following, at Childers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community morning tea, hosted by the Bundaberg Regional Council, and then attended the 20th annual Childers Festival, where the Governor addressed guests and officially opened the Festival, and with Mrs de Jersey, toured the Festival, before returning to Brisbane.
