In the afternoon, at Parliament House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in recognition of outstanding Queensland contributors.
