On Wednesday, in the morning, at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane City, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the Anglican Mothers Union Australia, Diocese of Brisbane's Celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Patrick Weir MP; Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Andrew Hawkins for the presentation of two Appropriation Bills for Royal Assent.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in support of Regional Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Councillor Ernie Camp; Councillor Teresa Harding and Mr Steven Voll; Councillor Les Hotz; Councillor Jason Wendt and Mrs Laurisa Wendt; Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney; Ms Linda Dobe; Mr Joshua Hannan; Major General Jake Ellwood DSC AM CSC (Retd); Mr Jade Christensen; Ms Alison Smith and The Honourable Paul Lucas; Mr Scott Allen and Ms Kristie Welsh.
